Grief Journals

Safe Way to Express Your Feelings

If you’re like me, I didn’t know how to mourn my loss. I knew I had a deep and searing pain when I allowed myself a moment to think or feel.

But I wasn’t sure how to express my feelings or even sort through them.

Only later did I realize that grief journals were a way to better understand what I felt, what I feared, what I thought, and an outlet for my pain.

Get Help in Knowing What to Write

You may understand and realize how important a grief journal is to help you mourn your loss, but that doesn't mean you know what to write about. And that's okay. Alison and I will help you.

On certain days, like anniversary days or their birthday, we have something specific we recommend you write about, a specific prompt to help you grieve that day.

On other days you can simply explore topics and write about one that touches you. Or you can start a blank entry and simply write about what's on your mind and in your heart that day.

Writing in your grief journal will help you better understand what you feel, as well as ensure that you record precious memories, thoughts, and feelings.

Find Peace

In the process of writing and recording your precious memories, thoughts, and feelings it is my sincere hope that the process brings you a little bit of peace and some day happiness.

Treasure it Forever

When you've finished you can turn your journal into a beautiful book to treasure and preserve those precious memories and experiences.
